Ask: Who helped Lucy and Henry? (the elephant) What interesting animals did the elephant show
Henry and Lucy? (a giraffe, a baboon, a lion, a cheetah, a leopard)
1. Listen and Chant

Play CD Track 65.
•
Have pupils scan the chant for a name that is repeated and underline it. (Sara)

Place the word and picture card of postcard on the board. Show the class a few picture
postcards that you brought to class with you. Ask pupils if they ever receive or send
postcards. Discuss the difference between a letter and a postcard, pointing out that letters
are written on paper and put in envelopes, and that they can be longer than messages on
a postcard. Elicit the other ways people write to each other today. (emails, sms)
