Listening Comprehension Script
Elephant:
Okay, kids. Let's go.
Henry:
Lucy, What did you say?
Lucy:
I didn't say anything, Henry. So, who is talking?
Elephant:
It's me, kids. I will help you find Sara.
Lucy:
But elephants can't talk!
Elephant:
I can talk. Some of your magic stardust fell on me. Now, I am a magic
elephant.
Henry:
Wow!! This is fun. You can tell us about all the animals here on the savanna.
I can see so many animals.
Elephant:
Okay. Well, over there, sitting on a tree, is a baboon. Baboons are very
big monkeys.
Lucy:
I didn’t know that baboons are very big monkeys!
Henry:
Yes, baboons are really big and funny. What is that animal that looks like
a cat?
Elephant:
It’s a cheetah. The cheetah is in the cat family. The cheetah runs very fast.
And that other big cat with the spots next to the tree is a leopard.
The leopard is the biggest cat in the cat family.
Henry:
Leopards are really big. I love their spots but I don’t think they look like cats.
Hey, look at that beautiful giraffe. It has a long neck. The giraffe is very tall.
Elephant:
The giraffe is very tall. The giraffe is even taller than me.
Lucy:
Oh, look, I see some lions. They are with their cubs.
Elephant:
Yes, lions live together in a group, like a family. We are getting close now,
kids. Soon we will find Sara.
