Do you remember?
Ask: Who is lost in Africa? (Sara, the reporter) Where did we read about Sara? (in the
newspaper) What do you remember about Sara? (She writes for a travel magazine. She is
a reporter. She takes pictures. She travels to many places. She is on a safari.)
1. Listen and Chant

Play CD Track 61.
Have pupils scan the chant and underline the word will. (It appears three times)
Explain that will is used to talk about something that is going to happen.
Then have them scan the text for the three questions and underline them. Ask for
volunteers to read the questions aloud.
Have pupils scan and underline the line that contains the word read. Elicit that pupils
will soon read an interview. Place the word card interview on the board and elicit or
explain its meaning in L1. Have pupils repeat the word after you.
Read the chant together and have pupils answer the questions: Who is talking?
(Henry and Lucy) What do they want to do? (find Sara) How will they find out where
to go? (from the interview)

Have pupils look at the text and elicit that it is a magazine. Ask pupils if they have
ever read interviews in magazines.
Have pupils scan the interview and circle the word favorite every time it appears. (5)
Place the word card favorite on the board and explain its meaning in L1. Have
pupils repeat the word after you.
Draw the following table on the board.
