Instruct pupils to read the questions that follow the article. Have pupils underline the
question word in each and elicit the meaning of the question words. Demonstrate
how to do the first question by saying: Look for the word Sara. What information does
the text give about her? (She is a reporter.)
Have pupils scan the text to find the answers to the questions. (1. a reporter,
2. She writes and takes pictures, 3. She is on a safari in Africa, 4. people, beautiful
places and interesting animals, 5. 535-5560)
Ask pupils what they learned from reading the article and list all facts on the board.
Elicit the following:
o Her full name is Sara Been.
o She writes for a magazine.
o She has a camera.
o She travels.
o She takes pictures of people, interesting animals and beautiful places.
o She is a photographer as well as a reporter.
o She was on a safari in Africa.
o She is lost in Africa.
