Writing a Group Summary
• Divide the class into groups of six. Give each group a page with the following beginning
sentence: Henry and Lucy are in China on New Year's Day.
Ask pupils to pass this sheet around, having each pupil in turn write one sentence
about the adventure. Stronger pupils can help group members in writing their
sentences as needed. Each pupil folds the page to cover the sentence and the next
pupil writes another sentence.
When all pupils have written a sentence, the page is unfolded and read. The results
should be a summary of Henry and Lucy's adventure in sequence.
Call on a representative from each group to read their story to the class. Have the
class vote for the best-told story.

Remind pupils who Princess Meg is and where Henry and Lucy met her. (Princess
Meg is Mr. Moon's friend. The kids met her the first time they went to the moon, when
she gave them the stardust. In this unit Princess Meg helped Lucy and Henry solve
