Write on the board: The tiger has stripes. Ask: What other animal has stripes? Write on the
board: Zebras have stripes.
Have pupils look at the Language Focus box. Explain that we use have/has when we
want to describe a thing or an animal – e.g. the room has green walls, the elephant has a
long nose. Draw the comparison that 3rd person singular has the letter s added to it (want/
wants), and since it is third person singular too (for things and animals) we use has. Have
pupils do the activity in pairs.
9. Read and Chant

Ask pupils to read the chant and predict how the kids will help save the pandas.
