Discuss the concept of endangered animals and elicit the names of endangered animals
that the pupils are familiar with. (whale, cheetah, tiger)
Have pupils match the names of the animals to the pictures. (1. f, 2. c, 3. a, 4. e, 5. b, 6. d)
Put the picture cards of the animals on the board, and invite pupils to the board. Hand out
one animal word card at a time, having pupils match them to the pictures.

Have pupils suggest the names of alternative animals that can replace the word pandas in
