•
Present each flashcard one at a time.
•
Say: I see a (clown).
•
If what you say is correct, pupils repeat: I see a (clown).
•
If what you say is incorrect, pupils say: No, no, no, ha, ha, ha!
•
Demonstrate by showing the ‘library’ flashcard and saying: I see a (television).
•
Say together with the pupils: No, no, no, ha, ha, ha!
•
Repeat the game several times with different words.
•
Ask a pupil to lead the game. Ask the pupil: What do you see?
•
The pupil can say: I see a _____ . (correct or incorrect response), and the rest of the
class should respond accordingly.
16. What Am I?
•
Show the animal flashcards.
•
Act out one of the animals and make an animal noise. Ask: What am I?
•
Elicit from the pupils the name of the animal. When they guess correctly, say: I am a
(lion).
•
Repeat for several animals.
•
Choose a volunteer to act out an animal and have the pupil ask: What am I?
•
Have the class guess the animal, then have the volunteer say: I am a (dog).
•
Repeat so several pupils get a chance to act out an animal.
17. Quick Flash Game
•
Flip all the flashcards so the picture is not visible.
•
Quickly flash a card to the pupils, and then turn it back around.
•
Ask: What is it?
•
Have the pupils guess what they saw: (Elicit: It is (a)…)
•
If the pupils guess correctly, turn the card around to show the picture. Say and have
pupils repeat: It is a…
•
If the pupils do not guess correctly, flash the card and have pupils guess again.
•
Repeat with all the cards.
