Read or play the audio track of the story. Have pupils track the words with their
finger as they read.

After finishing the story, ask: Are the small dog and the big dog hot at the end of the
story? How do you know? (Elicit: No, they are under the big tree.)

Read the story again, asking different pupils to read each box. Encourage pupils to
use proper intonation as they read the lines.
NOTE

Encourage the pupils to read the text several times. You may choose to assign the
text to the pupils to read to a parent or other adult outside of class.

Remind the pupils of the different topics and words that were covered by showing
them the ABC poster.

Say: Now we know our ABCs!

Ask different pupils: What letter does your name begin with? What letter does
your last name begin with?
Ask: What did you like best in the English lesson?
