Introductions and Greetings
Greetings
•
Go around the room and have Max ask different pupils:
Hello. What is your name? (Elicit: My name is...)
Are you a boy or a girl? (Elicit: I am a boy/girl.)
Do you have a pet? (Elicit: Yes, I have a cat/dog/etc. or No, I don't.)
Look out the window. What’s the weather today? (Elicit: Today is (sunny).)

Sing “I Know All the Letters of the ABC” (song #2.52)
Vocabulary
Game
•
Stop Me When… (game #6)
Play the game to review the vocabulary: hot, cold, sun, sky, rain, clouds, wind,
umbrella, jacket, scarf, strong, king, queen.
Review the words using the flashcards before playing the game.
Say: Stop me when you see (the sun).
Start showing the flashcards one at a time. Keep showing the flashcards until the
pupils shout "Stop!"
Ask: What is this? (Elicit and have pupils point to the correct body part: This is
(the sun).)
Repeat with all the words.
