Say: Unscramble the words to write the sentences.
Remind pupils that sentences in English begin with a big letter (point out the
word "The" in each sentence) and end with a period (point out the words that
have a period in each sentence).

Give pupils a few minutes to complete the task on their own or with a partner.
•
Reveal to check answers.
•
Point to #1 and ask the pupils to read the sentence. (Elicit: The box is red.)
Repeat and ask different pupils to read each sentence.

Remind the pupils of the different topics and words that were covered by showing
them the flashcards: hot, cold, sun, rain, clouds, wind.

Say: Today is (hot/cold/sunny/rainy/cloudy/windy). (Have a pupil come to the
board and point to the correct picture to describe the weather.)

Ask: What story did we act out today? (Elicit: The Wind and the Sun)
