Say: Read and match the sentences to the correct picture.

Read the sentences together as a class or call on different pupils to read them.

Ask: What do you see? (Elicit: The Wind and the Sun)
•
Say: Read the sentences. Write the missing words from the word box.
•
Give pupils a few minutes to do this on their own or with a partner.
•
Reveal to check answers.
•
Read the dialogue aloud and elicit the missing words from the pupils.

Point to the Wind and say: The Wind says, "I am… (elicit: strong.) I am the (elicit:
king) of the sky!"
Point to the Sun and say: The Sun says, "No, I am the queen of the… (elicit:
sky)!"
Point to the Wind and say: The Wind says, "No, you are … (elicit: not!)"
Point to the Sun and say: The Sun says, "Yes, I am! I am the… (elicit: best!)"
Divide the class into two groups (the Wind and the Sun) and have the pupils read the
dialogue again to practice with each other.

Ask: How many parts does the word ‘jacket’ have? (Elicit: 2)
