Review

Review the letter J by showing the Jj flashcard and asking: What is the name of the
letter? (Elicit: the letter J)
What sound does it make? (Elicit: /j/)
What words do you know that begin with the letter J? (Elicit: jump, jacket, job,
etc.)
Say together with the pupils: The letter is J and the sound is /j/.
Repeat to review the letter V.

Ask: What is this? (Elicit: This is (a)…)
Ask: What sound do you hear at the beginning of the word? (Elicit: /k/)
Show the letter Kk flashcard and say: The letter is K and the sound is /k/.

Ask: What other letter makes the sound /k/? (Elicit: the letter C)
Teach the new vocabulary using the flashcards.
Present the cards and say the words: kids, king.
Have pupils repeat the words.
