Introductions and Greetings
Greetings
•
Go around the room and have Max ask different pupils:
Are you a boy or a girl? (Elicit: I am a boy/girl.)
How old are you? (Elicit: I am _____ years old.)
Where do you live? (Elicit: I live in (City name).)
How many brothers/sisters do you have? (Elicit: I have _____ brothers/sisters.)
Song

Sing “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” (song #2.8) to review the body parts.
•
Have pupils spread out so they will not touch one another. Have pupils do the actions
as prompted by the song.
Vocabulary
Game
•
Go to Sleep (game #3)
Play the game to review the vocabulary: small, big, tall, long, fat, hair, head, nose,
eyes, ears, tree, friend, help, zoo.
Review the words using the flashcards before playing the game.
Have pupils put their head on the desk and say: Good night. Go to sleep!
Hide one of the cards and say: Good morning. Wake up!
Ask: What’s missing?
Have pupils say what is missing. Reveal the card to check the answer.
Repeat the game several times and take away a different card each time.
