Introductions and Greetings
Greetings

Go around the room and have Max ask different pupils:
Hello. What is your name? (Elicit: My name is...)
How do you feel? (Elicit: I feel happy/sad/mad/afraid/surprised.)
Do you have a pet? (Elicit: Yes, I have a cat/dog/etc. or No, I don't.)
Do you like (bananas)? (Elicit: Yes, I like (bananas). / No, I don’t like (bananas).)
Song

Sing “Hokey Pokey” (song #2.9) to review the body parts.

Have pupils do the actions as prompted by the song.
Vocabulary
Review

Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: head, face, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, ears,
arms, legs, hand, feet, tail, tall, long.
Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)
Have pupils repeat the words and point to their body parts as they say them. Do
gestures for 'tail,' 'tall,' and 'long.'
Say: Show me your right hand. (Have pupils raise their right hand and say: This is my
right hand.)

Repeat with different body parts and right/left to practice.
Say, for example: Stand up if you have long hair. (Elicit: I have long hair.) Stand up if
you have blue eyes. (Elicit: I have blue eyes.) Stand up if you have small ears. (Elicit: I
have small ears.), etc.
Repeat with different body parts and adjectives (colors, long, tall, small, big) to
practice.
