Say: Open your Course Books to page 129. Look at #10.

Say: Number the pictures in the order they happen in the story. Use the story in
Epic Stories to help you.
•
Give pupils a few minutes to do this on their own or with a partner.
•
Call on a pupil to choose the picture that happens first in the story.
Have the pupil use relevant vocabulary to describe the scene in the picture.
Then call another pupil until all the pictures are in the correct sequence.
•
Reveal to check answers.
•
Along with the pupils, retell the whole story as you point to each picture. Elicit the
following (or any other logical response) for each picture:
1. Let's play a game!
2. I am an alligator. / I have big teeth. / I can swim.
3. I am a gorilla. / I can walk on my hands.
4. I am a monkey. / I can jump. / I have a long tail.
5. I am an elephant. / I spray water through my long nose.
6. We like this game! / We had fun!

Say: Look at #11.
•
Read the sight words in the word banks together with the pupils. Point to each word
as you say them.
•
Say: Find and circle the words from the box.
•
Show pupils that the arrows next to each word indicates which direction the
word appears in the puzzle.
Reveal to check answers.
