Say: Open your Course Books to page 122. Look at #1.

Ask: What animals do you see? (Elicit: I see a/an alligator, monkey, gorilla, and
elephant.)

Teach the new vocabulary word "from" through the context of a sentence (use L1 if
needed to explain the meaning). Say: Draw a line from the boy or girl to the
animal they play in the story.

Give pupils a few minutes to do this on their own or with a partner.
•
Reveal to check answers.
•
Point and ask: What animal can jump? (Elicit: The monkey can jump.)
What else can you say about the monkey? (Elicit some responses from the
pupils: It has long tail, short hair, eats bananas, etc.)
Repeat to ask questions about each animal.
