Teach the new vocabulary using the flashcards.
Present each card one at a time and say the word: head, face, hair, eyes, nose,
mouth, ears.
Have pupils repeat the words and point to their body parts as they say them.
Game

Just a Peek (game #5)
Play the game to practice the vocabulary: head, face, hair, eyes, nose, mouth,
ears, man, woman, boy, girl.
Show a covered flashcard with only one corner visible.
Ask: What is this?
Have pupils guess the word. If they don’t know, reveal another corner.
Continue until they get the answer correct, then reveal the whole card.
Repeat with all the words.

Teach and sing “Face Song” (song #2.4)

Point to the parts of the head and face as you sing and have the pupils copy you:
eyes, ears, mouth, nose, head, hair.
Lexical Chunks
Review
•
Review the lexical chunks: Who has…? / Do you have…? / How many…? / I have… /
What color is…?
Show the flashcard ‘ears’ and ask: How many ears do you have? (Have pupils
point to their ears and elicit: I have two ears.)
Repeat by showing the flashcards ‘mouth, nose, head, eyes’
