The Little Red Hen says,
“Who will help me plant the wheat?”
“Not I!” says the little brown dog.
“Not I!” says the little yellow duck.
“Not I!” says the little white cat.
“Then I will do it myself.
I will plant the wheat,”
says The Little Red Hen.
And she does!
Teach the new vocabulary words "not," "then," and "does" through the context
of the story (use L1 if needed to explain the meaning).
Do gesture for ‘plant the wheat’ and ‘not I!’
Ask: Where are the animals? (Elicit: on the farm)
