Show flashcards 'hen' and 'farm' and ask: Where do you live?
Elicit what the hen would answer: Point to the 'hen' and say: I live on a farm.
Repeat with flashcards 'gorilla' and 'zoo' and ask: Where do you live?
Point to the 'gorilla' and say: I live in a zoo.
Repeat with 'boy' and 'house' flashcards and ask: Where do you live?
Point to the 'boy' and say: I live in a house.

Say: Open your Course Books to page 77. Look at #7.
•
Ask: What do you see? (Elicit: I see (a/an) kangaroo, duck, baby, elephant, mother,
hen, farm, zoo, house.)
•
Say: Point to the farm. What lives on the farm?
Elicit from pupils some animals that live on the farm (duck, hen, dog, cat, etc.)
Repeat for zoo (gorilla, kangaroo, lion, zebra, alligator, snake, elephant,
monkey, etc.) and house (father, mother, baby, boy, girl, etc.)

Say: Match the animals and people to where they live.
•
Give pupils a few minutes to do this by themselves or with a partner.
•
Reveal to check answers.
•
Point to the text at the top of the task and read: I live…
Point each animal/person and have pupils complete the sentence to practice the
vocabulary and lexical chunk: I live… (Elicit: on the farm/in the zoo/in the house.)

Say: Look at #8.
•
Have different pupils read the sentences.
1. I am a (dog). I live on a (farm).
2. I am a (lion). I live in a (zoo).
3. I am a (man). I live in a (house).
