Show Me… (game #11)
Play the game with the pupils’ school items: bag, different colored crayons,
pencils, book (the Course Book or Epic Stories book), scissors, glue, paper, pen.
Say: Show me (a red crayon).
Have pupils hold up the correct item and say: This is my (red crayon).
Choose a pupil to run the game and have the pupil say: Show me (a pencil).
Song

Sing “Point to the Window” (song #1.32) and have pupils do movements as prompted
by the song.

Mime Game (game #12)
Play the game to review the emotions: happy, sad, mad, afraid, surprised.
Say a word and have the pupils do a facial expression for that word.
Repeat for several words.
Then, do the facial expression for a word and have the pupils say the word.
Repeat for several words.
Phonemic Awareness
•
Say: Open your Course Books to page 56. Look at #1.
•
Ask: What pictures do you see? (Elicit: I see a cat, bed, ten, Max.)
•
Say: Listen to the sound in the middle of the word and check the sound /a/ or /e/.
#1 is already completed for the pupil.
Say: For example, #1 is 'cat'. What sound do you hear in the middle of the
word? (Elicit: /a/)
1. cat
2. bed
3. ten
4. Max
•
Reveal to check answers.
•
Ask: Which words have the sound /a/? (Elicit: cat, Max)
Repeat for the sound /e/.
