Greetings

Go around the room and have Max ask different pupils:
Hello, what is your name? (Elicit: My name is…)
Good morning. How are you? (Elicit: I am fine, thank you.)
Are you a boy or a girl? (Elicit: I am a boy/girl.)
Song
•
Teach and sing “This is the Way We Sit on Our Chairs” (song #1.38)
•
Have pupil do the movements as they are prompted by the song: sit down, stand up,
pick up their books and pretend to read.
Vocabulary
Review
•
Use the completed Course Book page 41, task #9 to review the vocabulary: desk,
crayon, glue, book, pencil, balloon, scissors, bag; and the colors: blue, red, pink,
yellow, purple, green, orange, white.
•
Ask: What do you see? (Elicit: I see (a) desk, crayon, glue, book, pencil, balloon,
scissors, bag.)
•
Ask the pupils: Where is the (book)?
Have different pupils come to the board to point to the picture you say.
Ask: What color is the (book)?
Repeat for all the items you see.
