Max says: Good morning. How are you?
Have the pupils respond together: I am fine, thank you. How are you?
Max: I am fine, thank you.
Song

Sing “Good Morning, Dear Pupils” (song #1.6)

Point to the pupils and yourself (teacher) as you sing the song. Have pupils do the
same.
Vocabulary
Review
•
Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: school, classroom, teacher, pupil, chair,
desk, crayons, door.
Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)
Have pupils repeat the words.
Say: Point to a (door/teacher/pupil/chair/desk).
Say: Look at the crayons. How many crayons do you see? (Elicit: 4) What colors
are the crayons? (Elicit: orange, blue, green, red)
New

Teach the new vocabulary using the flashcards.
Present each card one at a time and say the word: bag, book, glue, paper, pen,
pencil, poster, ruler, scissors.
Have pupils repeat the words.
