c. Have students choose five nouns from the table and write two sentences with each noun: one in
the singular and one in the plural. Read the example in the book.
d. Say:
Some of the nouns we use every day are irregular nouns in their plural form.
What does that mean?
They are count nouns but they don’t get ‘s’ when they are plural.
For example:
o A child – children (write on board)
Let’s see if you know any of the others.
Do the exercise with the class on the board.
Draw the table and have them copy it.
For each word ask who knows or thinks they know the answer.
