Appreciation of culture
NOTE: Discuss the names of the teachers, Coach Stone and Miss Santos. These are two different
types of last names: one sounds more American— Stone, and the other sounds Latino— Santos.
Explain that in the USA, there are many Latinos, or people from Spanish- and Portuguesespeaking countries, such as Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, etc., and the name Santos is very typical.
