What else is in the bags? (a pen, a notebook to take notes in, a poster and an ID card)

Why is the Green Team talking to the students in school? (They want everybody to join
them and help find out what is happening to the animals.)
How do the students respond? (They all agree to join.)
After Reading

What is the mystery again? (Animals are missing.)
What do you think the kids can do to help the Green Team solve the mystery? (Accept all
logical answers.)
If you were in Lakeview, what do you think you could do? (Accept logical answers.)
Extra teaching point:
Say and ask:
Go back to frame 6.
Look at the sentence “It’s where an animal gets its food” (Write it on the board.)
What’s the difference between the two words – 'it’s' and 'its'? (If the students don’t
know, explain that 'it’s' is short for “it is” and 'its' is a possessive pronoun)
Appreciation of Language
NOTE: By going back and explaining the difference between the two words you are helping the
students further understand how the English language works, which is very important to enable full
comprehension.
