The expectation is that you participate regularly in at least one sport outside of school to ahigh standard either as a performer or as a coach. This will contribute 15% towards your A Level.ENTRY REQUIREMENTSWe would expect you to achieve a grade 6 or above in GCSE PE, as well as an APS of 4.5 or above.COURSE CONTENTSport and Physical Education is designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the factorsinfluencing performance in a variety of activities and how performance may be improved through analysisand practice. You will study how the body and mind work in Physiology, Biomechanics and Psychology.You will look at how sport has developed through history and the influence of social and cultural factors onparticipation in physical activity as well as the ever changing impact of technology in sport.
