Style of Learning
Pre-Course
Before arriving, students will nominate 3
subjects that they wish to focus on. We create
bespoke plans for every student that attends
our course to enable them to make the best
use of their time in Cambridge.
Tutorials
The Cambridge Summer School will give
students access to some of the brightest
teachers in the country in the most
spectacular settings. Students will work in
groups of between 2 and 6 students on tasks
set by their tutor. Before sessions they will be
presented with reading and research to carry
out to prepare for rigorous debate in the
tutorials.
Peer Development
Learning doesn’t just come from teachers. It
also comes from working with other, likeminded students who are intent on studying
to the highest level. In this environment
students learn from each other whilst
building lasting friendships.
Independent Research
Students have time and space across the
University and historic city itself to experience
life as an undergraduate student. Part of that
is being able, and encouraged, to pursue
independent interests within your chosen
course.
