An Invitation 2 Innovate
When LSC-University Park opened, the founding campus community made certain
that innovation was built into the DNA of the college. To help ingrain this culture of
innovation, an open invitation was issued to the faculty, staff, students and community
to address challenges together with innovative approaches and solutions. Known as
the Invitation 2 Innovate (i2i), the invitation centers on an open-source innovation
process in which education, industry and community converge.

i2i empowers the entire college community to address challenges with innovative
approaches and solutions. As part of the culture, innovation is not only tied to the
physical landscape via innovation rooms and learning labs, but also integrated
into the college’s budgeting and strategic planning processes.
