WANNA
GO FOR
A RIDE?
Michael Moody Jr. (T’91) and
Wendy (Richards) Moody (LA’91)
We met at Michael’s fraternity the weekend
before classes started in the fall of 1989.
Michael pulled up on his motorcycle and
asked if anyone wanted to go for a ride. I
jumped on and then wondered what I was
doing. But I immediately felt comfortable
with him. We drove around campus for
a few hours and have been together
ever since that fall night. —WENDY MOODY
WE SHARED
A HOMETOWN
Ankit Buti (S’12) and Joyeta Samanta (ECE’12)
We both lived on the second floor of Earhart Residence
Hall our freshman year and met through socials hosted
by our RAs. We connected instantly about sharing a
hometown—Delhi. We got engaged in San Francisco
10 years after we met. We have lived apart and did long
distance for two years (India and U.S.); we lived across
the East Coast and West Coast for different jobs; and
we finally landed in San Francisco, where we both are
pursuing our dream careers. We got married this year
and invited many Purdue friends and family members.
