SOUTHEAST PURDUE
AGRICULTURAL
CENTER (SEPAC)
THE LARGEST OF PURDUE’S AGRICULTURAL CENTERS, SEPAC’S 2,430
acres are located six miles east of North Vernon in Jennings
County. SEPAC was established in 1977 when the state of
Indiana transferred 830 acres from the Department of Mental
Health’s Muscatatuck State School to Purdue. An additional
1,600 acres were transferred by the Indiana Department of
Natural Resources in 2005. Because of its size and available
research facilities, approximately 50 research projects are
ongoing at SEPAC at any time.
