Purdue Alumni Board & Trustee
The Purdue Alumni Association Board of Directors
is seeking applications for prospective board members.
Any member of the Purdue Alumni Association may run
for an open position on the board.
Five board openings will be filled in an election of the membership prior
to the annual meeting in the spring. Nominations may be made by clubs
or by a group of 25 or more Purdue Alumni members. Candidates may
also nominate themselves. Nominations must be submitted in writing
to Katie Vanvekoven, corporate secretary, by Monday, January 10, 2022.
Nominees will be screened and interviewed by a committee in
early 2022. Selected candidates will be submitted to a vote of the
dues-paying membership of the Purdue Alumni Association. The
election will take place online from April 11 to 14, and the results
will be ratified by the Purdue Alumni board on Friday, April 29,
at the spring board meeting.
At the fall 2021 meeting of the Purdue Alumni Association Board of
Directors, the board voted to approve incumbent trustee Malcolm
DeKryger as the Purdue Alumni nominee.
Other members of the alumni association may also run for the position
of alumni trustee as defined by state statute and noted in Article IX
of the Purdue Alumni Association bylaws. The association provides a
process by which any 500 members can place a nominee on the ballot.
Nominations are due by Monday, January 10, 2022.
