Navigating the net and being able to utilise
information technology is as critical as maths
and science in today’s world and Afrika Tikkun
is committed to providing disadvantaged youth
with these employable skills. It is all part of our
holistic development programme.”
The current group of 26 learners, under the expert
guidance of two facilitators, has successfully
achieved a 100% pass rate in both the latest Cisco
IT Essentials (ITE) learning programme, as well as
the Fortinet NSE 1, 2 and 3 programmes. Learners
have also completed level 1 of the 4 CCNA levels.

Afrika Tikkun was founded in 1994 with the goal of making a difference in South Africa by
developing and uplifting young people in underprivileged communities. They are passionate
about developing young people together with like-minded partners, through innovative and
enterprising ways, to impact the economy of South Africa.
Afrika Tikkun aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment through a holistic approach
that begins in early childhood and ends with productive adults accessing the economy. The
model provides 360° care (nutrition, health and social) services to young people. This approach
is called the Cradle-to-Career 360° model and it has earned Afrika Tikkun recognition for being
one of the most impactful organisations in South Africa.
