EATING OUT AT
MPW STEAKHOUSE
BAR & GRILL
CARDIFF IS
ABOUT ENJOYING
FANTASTIC FOOD,
BUT ALSO
THE OVERALL
EXPERIENCE:
THE BUZZ,
THE ATMOSPHERE
AND THE COMPANY
OF FRIENDS AND
FAMILY IN
GORGEOUS,
COMFORTABLE
SURROUNDINGS.
Marco Pierre White will undoubtedly
be very familiar to many of our
readers. Originally from Leeds,
Marco has been dubbed as the first
celebrity chef. At the tender age
of 24, he became Head Chef and
co-owner of Harveys, and at 33,
was the youngest chef ever to be
awarded three Michelin stars.
There are several things that immediately jump
out at you when you dine at MPW Cardiff.
First off, ( after a short trip in the lift from
the lobby of the Hotel Indigo to the sixth floor )
you are presented with a sleek, stylishly decorated
lounge area and bar. A quick glance around
the room at the lavish decor will quickly affirm
the high quality of this establishment.
Relax
at the
Bar
Secondly, if you arrive early enough to sample a
pre-dinner cocktail or two, you will then notice
that this restaurant has a balcony, that on a
balmy Welsh evening (if you are ‘very’ lucky)
offers a unique perspective of the Cardiff
skyline as you sip on your tipple of choice.
Non-diners are more than welcome to make use of the sleek bar area for drinks, or order from the alternative
Bar Menu for a lighter bite. You’ll find an excellent choice of quality wines, spirits and cocktails behind the bar,
and live entertainment is provided on Friday & Saturday evenings 8pm until late.

Then, the most obvious thing that you will
notice, is when you are shown to your table.
A quick look down the menu reveals many
truly classic dishes, albeit given the MPW
treatment - take for example The Governor’s
Steak and Ale Pie, The Pig Mixed Grill,
Mr Lamb’s Shepherd’s Pie, The Alex James.
Eagle eyed aficionados of the Brit Pop era will
deffo spot some dishes embellished by produce
from one-time BLUR bass player Alex James
(now artisan cheese maker. )
Dining out at this rooftop restaurant is a real
treat - perfect for a date night, or lunchtime
rendezvous when you have the extra time,
as you certainly won’t want to rush this
experience. It demands to be savoured !
There is also a private dining area here with
its own balcony access that you can book for
special occasions. The restaurant is now taking
bookings for Christmas parties, and has a special
festive menu you can view on the website.
