The Happy Egg Co. was the first free range egg producer to be certified
by the American Humane Association. The Happy Egg Co. actually helped
form – and then ensured our facilities and systems met – the AHA program’s
rigorous standards for free-range hen farming. These standards uniquely
provide each hen with access to at least 21.8 square feet of outdoor space,
superior shelter environments, and nearly 200 more science and welfarebased standards. Other industry “certifications” allow “free-range” hens to
