“Yes,” said Binnie. “Before the break, day one. After the break, day
two.”
K grinned. “On a scale of one to ten, Binnie, you get an eleven for
the cleverest idea in the history of the world. Sounds like you’re planning to retrieve a priceless box of misplaced hours . . . Was today the
lost day?”
“Yes. It was. And this is the only way we can get it back.”
“Then I’ll do whatever it takes. Getting a day back is the coolest
thing I’ve ever heard of. Out of two, we’ll make one amazing day. I
promise you, I’ll be ready for it!”
Binnie laughed. “Only you, Princess of the Earth and Sky—only you
would actually open your arms and welcome it in. You are the true adventurer—the unstoppable one—and I know everything will work out
perfectly. You just do what you do, and I’ll just do what I do, and between the two of us we’ll create something special that no one will ever
forget.”
