flights that take you through just about every time zone there is have a
way of catching up with you sooner or later. So, even though she appears to be unaffected by it, I’m sure she’s exhausted, as am I, after my
rather intense morning in the park. It’s not even noon yet and it’s already
been a very long day—so I think meeting tomorrow would be better, if
that works for you.”
“Whatever you think is best,” said Soo-kang. “I’m kind of exhausted
myself, and I’ve decided to take a few days off from the world and just
do nothing. So whatever works for you works for me.”
“Great,” said Binnie. “But the Soo-kang I know never seems to run
out of energy—he just keeps on keeping on. I can’t imagine you doing
nothing.”
“Well, for the next few days, doing nothing means that I’m going to
run every morning, read every afternoon, and write songs all night long.
I’m up most of the night anyway and doing something constructive will

live alone it doesn’t mean I’m lonely, it just means I’m a single-dweller.
Not unusual. Lots of us live alone; although most of us don’t know why,
so I keep looking for the answer.”
“It’s one of my best games, Soo-kang. It always works.”
“Well, maybe it works for you, but it didn’t work for me. I wanted
to know what I don’t know about myself—and I still don’t know what
I don’t know.”
“Sure you do. You know a lot more now than you did before you
started playing the game.”
“I do? Like what?”
Binnie chuckled. “Soo-kang, you’re a smart guy, and the answer is
so simple. I was sure you’d figure it out.”
