Corporate governance
The Group Leadership Team sets annual company targets and
allocates resources for corporate responsibility. Functional leaders
are responsible for creating supporting policies and instructions that
govern operations in 3stepIT.
Responsibility
and governance
For an independent, cross-functional approach, the Board of Directors appointed a Group Ethics &
Compliance Officer in January 2020. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the role focuses on
developing, implementing, supporting and enhancing our ethics and compliance culture. The role
also includes responsibility for an effective policy management system, developing, reviewing and
updating policies regularly. The Group Leadership Team approves and controls compliance with
these policies. National management teams are responsible for local implementation and local
business units are responsible for ensuring that these policies are applied in their daily operations.
The Board of Directors reviews and approves major Corporate Governance policy changes.
Security is handled within IT, and is overseen by our Chief Information Officer, but also reports on
progress and initiatives to the Group Leadership Team.
We recognise that effective sustainability performance also relies upon good corporate governance.
For 3stepIT, this means embedding sustainability within our business priorities, decision-making
and processes. 3stepIT’s sustainability progress is principally owned by our CEO, Carmen Ene,
with Executive sponsorship from Jonas Rosqvist (Chief of Remarketing) and Manish Mehta (Chief
Operations Officer). Operational management is the responsibility of the Director of Environment,
Social and Governance.
