Health and safety
Managing incidents and critical concerns
Work-related injuries in 2020 (GRI 403-9 (2018))
We’re proud that our relentless focus on
the wellbeing of our people maintained
our spotless safety record, with no
serious injuries recorded in 2020.
We have country-specific health and safety policies and
processes in place. In each country we hold meetings,
open to all our people, to discuss working conditions.
The most serious health and safety risks in our
operations relates our refurbishment process. Our teams
in refurbishment regularly assess risks and refine the
processes accordingly. In some operations, heavy lifting is
required, so we provide detailed manual handling training.

Our code of conduct sets guidelines for the behaviour of
our people. The document is reviewed annually and made
available on our website. All our people also have access to a
digital copy.
All employees are encouraged to report incidents and concerns to their managers.
We also have a separate Speak Up line in place where reports can be made
anonymously. All reported issues are processed within highest integrity. Critical
concerns are reported to management to take decisions on remedial action.
In 2020, our Group Ethics and Compliance function published an updated ‘Speak Up’
policy and a new anti-corruption and bribery policy supporting our people to identify
possible misconducts and corruption. As part of this updated policy, company-wide
training was rolled out.
Diversity, equality and fair treatment
We provide a safe working environment with equal opportunities and fair treatment
for all. With people from all over the world, our workplace brings different cultures and
backgrounds together.
We operate zero-tolerance on any kind of discrimination
based on race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or
expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics,
disability, or age. We promote and celebrate diversity. If we
identify inappropriate behaviour or discrimination, we take
action. Our Code of Conduct clearly explains our approach
and the channels our people can use to report incidents.
At the end of 2020, we employed 415 people (vs. 409 in
2019), with 49% female and 51% male. The turnover rate for
permanent employees was 8.7% (vs.12% in 2019). See the
Appendix 1 for detailed employment statistics.
