08 Standardised Rules
“Youth Loan”
means a loan transfer for a period of no fewer than 28 days of a Player who is a qualifying Player
within the terms of the Rules.
1.2 The Rules are taken from the Standardised Rules determined by The FA from 琀椀me to 琀椀me. In the event
of any omissions from the Standardised Rules then the requirements of the Standardised Rules shall be
deemed to apply to the Compe琀椀琀椀on.
1.3 Words or expressions used in these Rules shall, if not inconsistent with the subject or context, bear the
same meanings as in the Ar琀椀cles.
1.4 All Clubs shall adhere to the Rules. Every Club shall be deemed, as a member of the Company to have
accepted the Rules and to have agreed to abide by the decisions of the Board in rela琀椀on thereto,
subject to the provisions of Rule 16.
1.5 The Compe琀椀琀椀on will be known as The Northern Premier Football League Limited (or such other name
as the Company may adopt). The Clubs par琀椀cipa琀椀ng in the Compe琀椀琀椀on must be members of the
Company in accordance with the Ar琀椀cles. A Club which ceases to exist or which ceases to be en琀椀tled
to play in the Compe琀椀琀椀on for any reason whatsoever shall thereupon automa琀椀cally cease to be a
member of the Company.
1.6 The administra琀椀on of the Compe琀椀琀椀on under these Rules will be carried out by the Company ac琀椀ng
(save where otherwise speci昀椀cally men琀椀oned herein) through the Board in accordance with the Rules
Regula琀椀ons and Prac琀椀ces of The FA.
1.7 The Company shall be part of the Na琀椀onal League System established by The FA and shall sign such
documents as are required from 琀椀me to 琀椀me to con昀椀rm such membership.
2. MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
2.1 Each Club shall register its Ground, and its pitch dimensions, with the Compe琀椀琀椀on prior to the start of
each Playing Season. It will be misconduct on the part of a Club to alter its pitch dimensions during a
season unless with prior wri琀琀en consent of the Board. The Board may at any 琀椀me require a Club, at its
own cost, to submit a report from a quali昀椀ed independent source cer琀椀fying the pitch dimensions.

Maximum 120 yards (110 metres) – Minimum 110 yards (100 metres)
Width -
Maximum 80 yards (75 metres) – Minimum 70 yards (64 metres)
No Club shall move to another Ground without 昀椀rst obtaining wri琀琀en consent of the Board; such
consent not to be withheld unreasonably. In considera琀椀on whether to give such consent the Board
shall have regard to all the circumstances of the case and shall not grant consent unless it is reasonably
sa琀椀s昀椀ed that such consent:• would be consistent with the objec琀椀ves of the Compe琀椀琀椀on as set out in the Memorandum of
Associa琀椀on;
• would be appropriate having in mind the rela琀椀onship (if any) between the locality with which by its
name or otherwise the applicant Club is tradi琀椀onally associated and that in which such Club proposes
to establish its Ground
• would not adversely a昀昀ect such Club’s O昀케cials, Players, supporters, shareholders, sponsors and
others having an interest in its ac琀椀vi琀椀es
• would not have an adverse e昀昀ect on visi琀椀ng Clubs;
• would not adversely a昀昀ect Clubs having their registered Grounds in the immediate vicinity of the
proposed loca琀椀on, and
• would enhance the reputa琀椀on of the Compe琀椀琀椀on and promote the game of associa琀椀on football
generally.
The Club must disclose, as soon as prac琀椀cable, plans and details of any proposed move to a new
stadium. The loca琀椀on of the proposed new stadium must meet with the approval of the Board.
Without prejudice to the provisions of Rule 4.12 a Club shall forthwith no琀椀fy the Compe琀椀琀椀on of any
proposed change in its circumstances rela琀椀ng to the occupa琀椀on of its Ground. By way of example,
and without limita琀椀on, a proposed change may include a sale of any freehold interest (with or without
subsequent leaseback) or any surrender or varia琀椀on or a lease or licence.
2.2 Clubs shall have Grounds and headquarters situated in England, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man if
applicable or Wales and the Compe琀椀琀椀on Secretary shall send their names and par琀椀culars to The FA
annually by the date appointed by, and in the format required by, The FA. Clubs playing in England
shall be duly a昀케liated at all 琀椀mes to a recognised County Football Associa琀椀on. Welsh Clubs shall be
a昀케liated to The FA of Wales. Each Club shall no琀椀fy the Compe琀椀琀椀on Secretary of its a昀케lia琀椀on number
