These Rules have been compiled by The Football Associa琀椀on for the mandatory use of all sanc琀椀oned
Compe琀椀琀椀ons at Steps 1 to 6 inclusive of the Na琀椀onal League System.
It should be noted that where the Rules have been printed in [ ] they are op琀椀onal and where a gap has been
le昀琀 the appropriate word, 昀椀gure or amount needs to be inserted.
Whilst addi琀椀ons may be allowed to the Standardised Rules these must 昀椀rst be approved by The Football
Associa琀椀on.
1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 In these rules:
“A昀케liated Associa琀椀on”
means an Associa琀椀on accorded the status of an a昀케liated Associa琀椀on under the Rules of The FA.
“AGM”
shall mean the annual general mee琀椀ng held in accordance with the Ar琀椀cles of the Compe琀椀琀椀on.
“Appoin琀椀ng Authority”
means [The FA] [the Compe琀椀琀椀on].
“Ar琀椀cles”
means the Ar琀椀cles of Associa琀椀on of the Company and reference to a number of following the word
“Ar琀椀cle” is a reference to an Ar琀椀cle so numbered in the “Ar琀椀cles”.
“Board”
means the Board of Directors of the Company appointed in accordance with the Ar琀椀cles or, in the case of
a Compe琀椀琀椀on which is an unincorporated associa琀椀on, the management commi琀琀ee elected to manage the
running of the Compe琀椀琀椀on.
“Board Direc琀椀ve”
means an order or instruc琀椀on issued by the Board.
“Bond”
means a sum of money deposited with the Compe琀椀琀椀on as part of the requirements of membership of the
Compe琀椀琀椀on.
“Club”
means a Club for the 琀椀me being in membership of the Company (including a Club which has had a transfer
of membership approved under Rule 2.9 below).
“Commercial Agreements”
means all or any Agreement or Agreements with any third party including but not limited to broadcas琀椀ng,
media, sponsorship, marke琀椀ng, merchandising, licensing and adver琀椀sing, for the general promo琀椀on of
each or any of the Clubs in the Compe琀椀琀椀on and the Company, and which have the object of promo琀椀ng
the welfare and general commercial interest and increasing the 昀椀nancial resources of each of the Clubs,
the Company and the Compe琀椀琀椀on.
“Company”
means The Northern Premier Football League Limited, company registra琀椀on number 4116935 which
administers the Compe琀椀琀椀on and shall, where the Compe琀椀琀椀on is an unincorporated en琀椀ty, include that
en琀椀ty.
“Company Secretary”
means the person appointed by the Board and registered at Companies House as the Company Secretary
of the Company.
“Compe琀椀琀椀on”
means The Northern Premier Football League.
“Compe琀椀琀椀on Match”
means any match played or to be played under the jurisdic琀椀on of the Company.
“Compe琀椀琀椀on O昀케ce”
means the registered O昀케ces or addresses where League business is transacted.
“Compe琀椀琀椀on Secretary”
means such person or persons appointed or elected to carry out the administra琀椀on of the Compe琀椀琀椀on.
