Grant expenditureAll grants in 2021/22 and 2020/21 were made eitherto King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust orKing’s College London (with the exception of low-valuepatient welfare grants, which are made in exceptionalcircumstances directly to patients in need).Some grants made to the Foundation Trust are inpractice paid directly to members of staff, where theyhave incurred relevant costs personally (for example,travel costs relating to a grant enabling the FoundationTrust to send a member of staff to a medicalconference).
