At Hilton Head’s busiest beach, you’ll find
soft sand and wonderful clean water. Even
better, it’s close to the island’s unofficial
downtown area. For your safety, security
cameras protect the beach. Visitors can
enjoy free Wi-Fi, volleyball nets and scores of
beach rentals and free parking – just not at
the popular Coligny Plaza. The beach and
the shopping plaza do get a little crowded,
but if you like an active and lively beach
experience, this is your spot. Located off
Coligny Circle at Pope Ave. with 32 metered
spaces; two are handicap accessible. A
long-term lot with 314 parking spaces is
across the street – the entrance is on Pope
Ave. and the exit is on South Forest Beach Dr.
The beach is wheelchair accessible with a
deck ramp and a special beach mat.
