Palmetto Dunes was recently named as the Number One Family Resort in the U.S. by Travel & Leisure
Family Magazine. Located mid-island and offering convenient access to tranquil beaches, three championship golf courses, world-renowned tennis, and an 11-mile lagoon system to kayak or canoe and observe
the many species of birds and fish in the peaceful waters, it’s easy to see why. Miles of scenic leisure paths
weave throughout the resort, perfect for walking, jogging, and biking. Palmetto Dunes also features Shelter
Cove Marina on Broad Creek where you can dine, shop and enjoy live entertainment while overlooking the

Protect the animals & vegetation by:
Crossing the dunes only at designated beach
access points.
n Leaving all live creatures (sand dollars, starfish,
etc.) on the beach.
n Not feeding the alligators – if fed they become
dependent, aggressive and most must be killed.
n Not picking any plants growing on the dunes.
n Not using lights on or adjacent to the beach during
the evening June–September so baby loggerhead
turtles can find their way to the ocean; please do
not carry or otherwise help them to the ocean.
