Cometh the plan
Many of the benefits of modern
life derive from the massive
breakthroughs born of the
industrial revolution. Now we see
that they have come at a price
that we did not appreciate - the
threat posed to us and to our
world by pollution and waste.
The impact of this is so great
it is changing our climate and
depleting the entire natural
world. No species is exempt;
global warming, an alarming
decrease in biodiversity, the
destruction of primeval forests,
the rise in sea levels, all threaten
life as we know it.
In the face of the enormity of
these threats it is not unnatural
to feel powerless and our
reactions can range from
‘climate denial’ right through to
‘climate depression’.
Business is no different. Business
as usual, that is.
But things are changing –
business, like the rest of us must
face it too.
