WHAT IS ECOFILL
The Technology
The Ecofill ground technology provides an on-site, ex-situ
process combining state-of-the-art Machinery with non-corrosive,
approved Ecofill Binders transforming all types of clays & subsoils
into fully certified, aggregate replacement products.
Via a globally patent-protected technology, the clays and subsoils are processed through the
machine and combined with the Ecofill Binders at pre-defined addition rates. Over 1000 tonnes
of the Ecofill end product can be produced each day, and once laid and compacted, provide a
structural material for the construction of both permanent and temporary earthworks structures
for all major sectors of the built environment.
The Ecofill Machines are mobilised to site along with our specially formulated Ecofill Binders,
which are all tailored to each specific project & ground type. All Ecofill Machines are
accompanied by a fully trained & highly skilled Ecofill Production Supervisor.
The Service
The Ecofill service includes binder design, material production, testing and validation. Armed
with site investigation data, comprehensive testing, and a full understanding of the project
requirements, we manage the full Ecofill production process from start to finish. This ensures
maximum efficiency, quality guarantee and complete confidence that all requirements are
being met in order to successfully deliver the sustainable Ecofill solution.

Ecofill commissioned AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure firm, to produce our
comprehensive Quality Management Plan which covers the design, production and quality
control of the Ecofill products. This Quality Management Plan ensures that the Ecofill products
meet the relevant National and European standards for Highways and Earthworks.
The Ecofill structural Materials are designed, produced, tested & validated to meet all
the National specification requirements & performance levels for Highways &
Earthworks as laid out by the Standards for Highways,
Manual of Contract Documents for Highways Works (MCHW), Specification for
Highways Works, Series 600, 800 and/or BSEN 14227.
All Ecofill products are fully tested by independent, accredited laboratories.
