Projected Number of Properties Requiring Rewiring
We assume a 30 year life for wiring within a property and a programme has been running
within the housing maintenance team for many years to update the stock. Our experience
has shown that there are a high number of unplanned properties that arise that require full or
partial re-wiring and these have been allowed for within the budget, though we would expect
to see a reduction of this type of work over time.
Central Heating Systems
Projected Number of Properties Requiring Replacement Heating Systems
Finally, the replacement of full central heating systems is scheduled to take place every 18
years. Three peaks in replacement take place over the life of the business plan.
