4. Summary: Our climate action framework
East Suffolk Council's response to the climate emergency has three core components:
a. Decarbonising the council's assets and services, to reach net zero by 2030
b. Utilising the council's powers and duties to enable others to reduce their own emissions and impact on the environment.
c. Work with other local authorities and partners to deliver the Suffolk Climate Emergency Plan.
This framework provides a summary of East Suffolk Council's environment core programme, which is focuses on the following areas:
