ESC Strategic Plan
East Suffolk Council has lead a successful initial phase of action,
delivering tangible change across the district and supported wider
enabling across Suffolk.

Continuing to deliver our net zero projects, core environment
programme and support the Suffolk Climate Emergency plan delivery
will deliver meaningful and measurable action.

Core programme stocktake: Review projects to ensure outcomes are
deliverable and prioritised correctly, considering the levers, blockers
and enablers and adding SMART objectives where relevant.

The next phase will add 'scaffolding' to our existing programme, building
on the work that is already being delivered and helping to ensure the
next phase of delivery is successful. Several new plans will also be
developed to support the delivery of the programme. Actions for this
next phase will include:

A number of essential new plans are also in development, including the
HRA property plan, Biodiversity Net Gain Plan and Development Design
Guide.

Stakeholder map
Communications Plan
Core programme scaffolding: A resources plan; funding plan,
updated stakeholder map and communications & engagement plan
will be developed to support the delivery of the programme.
Calendar of relevant policies due for renewal: This will provide the
opportunity to update these policies to ensure there are consistent
with the East Suffolk Strategic Plan environment theme.
