EMMA CORBETT-COFFEY
mvb certavp (gsas)
Graduated 2009 from St Istvan university
in Budapest. I spent the 昀椀rst 8 years of my
career in general practice throughout the UK
with 1 year of this doing EMS in London.
Emma quali昀椀ed in 2010 from UCD School of
Veterinary Medicine. She then went on to work
in mixed practice in the UK for 5 years before
returning home, working in mixed practices in
Tipperary and Cork before joining the team in
O’ Connor Julian Veterinary Hospital in Cashel,
where she has been for the past 7 years as a
companion animal vet and clinical director.
In 2018 I took up a position as Head Vet for
Yorkshires leading Independent Veterinary
Group running 3 practices and 11 Vets which
quickly grew to 4 practices and 18 Vets
including specialist orthopaedic surgeons
and a CT scanner it was here I realised my
passion for helping and mentoring the New
Graduates and thus developing their New
Graduate Development programme.
In March of 2023 I have since moved back
home to Ireland with my family (including a
husband, a 2 year old and a 12 year old cat)
working in general practice again.
Emma is an advanced practitioner in small animal surgery, obtaining an RCVS Cert AVP in 2016
from Liverpool university. She takes referrals for
both soft-tissue and orthopaedic procedures,
and has a special interest in wound reconstruction, cruciate ligament disease and surgical
oncology.
Emma is also passionate about integration of
care of animals between vets, veterinary nurses
and other para-professionals to provide a holistic approach to veterinary medicine and better
outcomes in our patients.
